This book is sad because Eulinda is the daughter of Mr. Hampton, and Mr. Hampton is married to Mistis, and Mistis is really mean. Eulinda wants to go to the prison, where her brother went, because he died there and she wants to collect his bones so she can bury them in her own yard. Mistis won't let her because she is now in charge and Mr. Hampton can't do anything. Mistis is saying that it is too dangerous for her, but she actually doesn't want to let Eulinda go because Mistis doesn't like her. I think that Mistis should be nicer to Eulinda, even though she is a slave. Iris is Eulinda's friend. Iris is a slave too.She cooks for everybody most of the time. I don't think that Mistis is that mean to Iris, but Mistis is definately mean to Eulinda. Another girl named Annalee, is somehow related to Mistis, and Mistis is TOTALLY nice to Annalee. And just because Annalee is coming back to their house, Mistis is making Eulinda move into Iris's room to sleep there. Mistis said that she was going to make Eulinda's old room into a parlor for Annalee. That is so mean!Well, I'll come back later to blog some more, but untill then, bye! ♥-klm-♥ ☺ ☻ ☺ ☻
klm - Wow...sounds like there's a lot going on in this book! How are you keeping up with everything? I have a question for you. How will the relationship change between Mistis and Eulinda? Is Eulinda smart enough to figure out a way to get her brother's bones? Let me know what you think!
Well Eulinda found a prisoner who had lived and kept a chart of the names of the prisoners who have died and where they died. So they found his grave, but Eulinda didn't want to bury them in her yard she just wanted to bury them properly. BEcause the soldiers didn't bury any of them properly.
