Girls -
I know you just started this book, but I want you to be thinking about our discussions about schema. You will have background knowledge that will help you understand the story as it unfolds, but I'm going to ask you to do something a little differently this time, too. I want you to think about Esperanza's perspective as the story is told. How does her schema help her make decisions? How does her background knowledge and experience guide how she thinks and what she does? This may be a little tricky; let me know how your thinking goes.
Mrs.H I am loving this book so much so far, but it is not really grabbing my attention to much. So like Numbering all the Bones I am going to stick with it because it is probably going to be super good.
Now that I have read more of the book I can't stop reading it. I am at the part where they were running away and coming to america. I can't wait to finish it.
