What goals did you set for yourself at the beginning of the year that you have reached or are still working towards reaching? What goals are you setting for yourself now? How are you going to reach these goals?

At the beginning of the year i set a big goal for myself that i don't even think I've reached yet. That goal was for me to have better punctuation.I still have to read over my pieces a lot, to check for punctuation.I never find one piece that fine
END It is really hard to edit your own writing, but there are some things you can do right away to improve.
The first thing is to read your writing backwards. Yes... backwards! This will help you recognize spelling errors. Try it!
Another thing you can do is to recognize some common mistakes you make and edit for those first. Like I notice you don't capitalize the word I. That would be an easy thing for you to check in your writing.
Also read one sentence at a time and say it out loud (in a whisper voice). Ask if you have written a complete thought, or did you try to fit too much into that sentence? Look for fanboys and aaawwubbis sentences to help you with commas.
Mrs.H- I tried what you said:reading it backwards.I tried it with one of my pieces i maid over spring break because i was bored. It does work. it might not make sense but it works
